Who we work with

Small business specialists. Full stop.

We're not a generalist MSP that also serves small business. We're a small-business MSP that doesn't do enterprise. Manchester firms with 5–50 users, where the IT lead is usually the owner, the office manager, or somebody's nephew who 'knows about computers'.

Why this matters

Big MSPs treat you like you're small.
We treat you like you matter.

The big national MSPs run a tiered service desk. Your 8-person law firm gets the same Level 1 triage queue as a 2,000-seat enterprise — which means a third call to find out what's actually going on, and a fourth to get someone who can fix it.

Our model is the opposite. Brett knows your name. Simon knows your network. Ben and Reece know your team's quirks. When something breaks, you ring us — and the person who picks up has either already worked on your stack or is sitting two desks from someone who has.

That's only possible because we've stayed deliberately small-business focused. Every sector below is a place where we've spent years getting good. The baseline is the same — the depth comes from actually understanding what your day looks like.

Where we go deepest

Six sectors we know inside out

Each of these has clients with us going back 5+ years. The compliance angles, the software stacks, the seasonal rhythms — we've seen them all play out across multiple firms in the same sector.

Regulated

Accountancy

For ICAEW/ACCA practices where January is January, and 'the IT going down for an hour' actually means 'we lose £4,000 of billable time'.

  • ICAEW practice assurance & ACCA tech-standard alignment
  • Sage, Xero, IRIS, CCH, TaxCalc — supported, not just tolerated
  • January-season standby: pre-agreed elevated cover, dedicated lead
  • Tight backup & restore testing for tax-deadline disaster recovery

Recent: 22-person Stockport practice cut tickets by 73% in 6 months. Read the case study →

Healthcare, GPs & Care

For private clinics, dental practices, GP surgeries and care providers where the data is personal, the audits are real, and the receptionist needs IT that works at 8:01am.

  • NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit (DSPT) submission support
  • UK GDPR & ICO breach playbooks ready before you need them
  • Clinical system integration — SystmOne, EMIS, Dentally, iSmile
  • Practice-hardened endpoints + encrypted backups, audit-ready

Examples: NHS-aligned dental practice in Tameside, multi-site private clinic in Stockport.

Manufacturing

For Manchester-area manufacturers where 'the system goes down' means production stops and the line empties out.

  • ERP & MRP support — Sage 200, Unleashed, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics
  • Shop-floor hardware: scanners, label printers, kiosks, ruggedised endpoints
  • OT/IT separation — keeping production networks stable & secure
  • Out-of-hours cover for shift work: 24/7 SOC available as add-on

Examples: SME engineering firm in Trafford Park, light-manufacturing SME in Tameside.

Operational

Distribution & 3PL

For wholesalers, 3PLs and logistics SMEs where a slow scanner at the goods-in bay means trucks waiting and SLA penalties stacking up.

  • WMS & ERP support — Mintsoft, Peoplevox, Unleashed, Sage 200, NetSuite
  • Warehouse hardware: handheld scanners, label printers, ruggedised tablets
  • Carrier & courier integrations kept stable across peak periods
  • Out-of-hours cover for evening dispatch and weekend cut-offs

Examples: 3PL with two warehouses across Greater Manchester, wholesale distributor in Tameside.

Not for Profit

For charities, hospices and housing associations where every pound spent on IT is a pound not spent on the cause — and trustees ask cyber questions every quarter.

  • Charity Digital tariff aware; M365 non-profit licensing right-sized
  • Volunteer onboarding/offboarding automated — no dormant accounts
  • Trustee-ready cyber posture summary, refreshed quarterly
  • Charity Commission, CQC, RSH and ICO IT-side evidence kept ready

Recent: Catalyst Science Discovery Centre & Museum (Widnes) — Cyber Essentials certified, PCI-DSS at the till, Microsoft 365 non-profit licensing right-sized.

Same baseline, every sector

The technical baseline is identical. The understanding is what differs.

Whatever sector you're in, the underlying baseline doesn't change — robust user support, hardened devices, MFA enforced, backups tested, patches current. That's how you get a defensible posture.

What changes by sector is which compliance standard we map to, which line-of-business apps we know intimately, and which seasonal rhythms we plan around. Same engine. Different gearing.

User Support

£35/user · helpdesk, M365, accounts, onboarding/offboarding

Device Care

£20/device · MDM, EDR, patching, asset management

SecureState-aligned

UK government-aligned managed-IT baseline. Not optional, not unbundled.

Honesty box

We're not the right fit for everyone

If any of the below describe you, we'll genuinely tell you on the first call — and probably point you at someone better suited.

  • You have 200+ users. We're built for SMBs. Above ~80 users, you want a different shape of provider.
  • You need cheapest possible. We're priced fairly for the quality we deliver. Race-to-the-bottom MSPs exist; we're not one.
  • You want IT to be invisible to you and the engineer. We're hands-on. Quarterly reviews, monthly reports, real conversations.
  • You're outside Greater Manchester / nearby counties. We support remotely just fine, but our local-engineer feel matters most within an hour's drive of Denton.

If none of those apply — or if you're not sure — pick up the phone. Twenty minutes will tell us both whether we should work together.

Want a straight read on your IT?

One hour, no invoice, no sales script. We'll look at your stack, tell you what's healthy, what isn't, and what we'd do — even if the answer is 'stay where you are, just tighten X and Y'.
